The problem of slaughtering animals in a hygienic and humane manner has gained urgency because more and more Indians are including meat in their diets on the back of economic prosperity that saw the country drive its annual GDP growth to above 8% in the past few years.

The Municipal Corporation, Faridabad running its approved slaughter house in the middle of NIT Faridabad violating the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (Slaughter Houses) Rules, 2001. To comply with the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India's direction, a State and District Committee for Slaughter Houses was constituted by the Govt. of Haryana. Today on December 14, 2012 State Committee for Slaughter Houses member Naresh Kadyan inspected the slaughter houses managed by the MCF and observed that animals are being badly abused during their transportation towards slaughter house violating the Cattle Transport Rules, 1978 amended in 2001, besides it there was no incinerator and ETP for water was found functional, which is the clear cutt contempt of the orders passed by the Supreme Court of India, there was no proper sanitation, water arrangements and slaughter techniques violating the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (Slaughter Houses) Rules, 2001, stray dogs are roaming around, eating solid waste, due to their eating habits they became aggressive attacking public. So being an state committee for slaughter houses member Naresh Kadyan Pfa Haryana asked the Commissioner, MCF to take strict departmental action against the tainted official of MCF and shift the slaughter house, till then stop slaughtering at once on the existing site, where as present animal house and building is dangerous and black colour hero honda motor cycle No. HR 29 - AB 3546 be booked for animal abuse rescuing abused animals.

Atleast the dried blood becoming chicken feed is true, as it happens in India too!
